Bye Bye Google Maps

Google Maps; everyone knows it and everyone loves it! Well actually no it would seem not everyone, certainly not Apple.
Apple have announced that they will no longer be running Google Maps on their devices as a rift between the two companies, which developed some time ago, has ended with Apple taking the decision to create their own Maps. Which let's face it will come as no surprise as they have more than likely been developing their own Maps for some time.
Apple were apparently getting more frustated at Google rolling out better versions and updates for their own operating system Android and with this only ever set to continue the IOS6 operating system will no longer update the Google Maps software.
Both Apple and Google have showcased their new 3D Maps software with both companies using fleets of planes to capture the images.
We are loving this competition at One Media Solutions as the two rivals are only wanting to do better than each other which is good news for us as consumers.
However, we must admit that when the news was first announced we were saddened that our so much beloved iPhone will lose our so much beloved Google Maps. We know Google Maps, we love Google Maps and changes like this are not always welcome. However we feel Google is coming off a lot worse after this defeat. Google are going to lose millions in advertising revenue, which is naturally in turn going to go to Apple.
Apple will now be able to learn what their users are doing, be able to keep that information and use it wisely in the future, making sure that the final result for the end user is as relevant as it can possibly be.
We feel Apple is going to continue to grow and grow but how Google fights back with Android is going to be very interesting indeed.
